If I was looking to buy a home in the Central Valley, what would I do? - Drive around the Central Valley and decide which city I would like to live in. - Find the neighborhoods that most appeal to me. - Go to http://www.iwanthomeinfo.com/ and target the neighborhoods I would like to get more information about. - See what homes are “for sale” and find out the list prices of the homes in the area. - Find the homes that are in my price range. When I view the map of the individual home details, I can also find the closest locations of schools, shopping malls, parks, restaurants, banks, airports, train stations, freeways, and other points of interest. I can also create different types of searches, save my searches, and save my favorite homes so I can later refer back to them. - Contact my agent to set up an appointment to see my favorite homes.
But before I do that, I need to:
- Talk with a mortgage broker, either in person or by phone, and find out my most comfortable price range. - Make sure I know approximately what my monthly payment will be, whether that amount includes my taxes and insurance, and will the amount of my payment change at any time during the term of my loan. I also need to find out how much it’s going to cost me to get this loan. - If I need assistance in locating a mortgage banker or broker, I can call my real estate agent for assistance.
Once I am approved for a mortgage loan, I can: - Take a look at the homes that are in my price range. - Decide on the home I would like to purchase. - Make an offer on the home with the assistance of my realtor.
If I don’t have a realtor, I can:
- Contact Alicia Ramirez with California Advantage Real Estate located in Tracy, CA. She can be reached at (209) 914-3334. Alicia can help me with my real estate needs anywhere in the Central Valley and she will represent me in the transaction no matter what brokerage the home I like is listed with. Alicia covers the cities of Tracy, Mountain House, Lathrop, Manteca, Stockton, Ripon, Salida, Modesto, and Patterson. Oh, and her services are free unless I buy a home through her and then she gets paid from the seller’s proceeds. So what have I got to lose, I’m going to call her!
